Smart lighting automation has been a game-changer for my home, and I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed with the new Smart Lighting Automation utility. It’s made managing my lighting so much easier, especially with the added features like motion detection and scheduling. However, as I’ve been using it, a few things have come to mind that I think could really enhance the experience.
One feature I’d love to see is the ability to add a delay when turning off lights after motion stops. Right now, it’s an all-or-nothing situation, but having a customizable delay would make it much more flexible for different scenarios. For example, if I’m in the kitchen and the motion stops, I might want the lights to stay on for a few more seconds before turning off.
Another thing I’d love to see is the option to trigger actions when someone leaves, not just when everyone leaves. This would be especially useful for setting up routines that adjust lighting or other devices based on individual movements. Lastly, I’d love to see more luminosity-based triggers, as sunrise and sunset times aren’t always reliable where I live.
I’d also love to hear from others who have implemented smart lighting automation in their homes. What features have you found most useful? What are your wish list items? Let’s keep the conversation going!
