I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting automation with my IKEA Trådfri setup, and it’s been an exciting journey! While I’ve managed to get most of my devices up and running, there’s one challenge that’s been keeping me busy: getting my IKEA Trådfri switches to reliably control my bulbs. 
I’ve tried setting up automations through the Conbee gateway and deConz software, but it’s been a bit hit or miss. I’ve found some great resources online that helped me get started, like using sensors to trigger lights for a set period, but translating that to simple on/off switches hasn’t been as straightforward. 
One thing I’ve learned is the importance of proper configuration in configuration.yaml. For instance, tweaking the settings for Zigbee devices and ensuring automations are correctly mapped has made a world of difference. I’ve also discovered that sometimes it’s the little things, like ensuring the bulbs and switches are on the same network segment, that can make or break the setup.
