My goal is to connect this device to a tree with LED lights, which means I need it to function solely as an on/off switch—no dimming. However, I also want to include it in my I’m Back command, which dims other lights to 60% when I return home. This has led me to explore ways to override the device’s default dimming functionality temporarily.
While I’m aware that changing the device type might be a solution, I’m curious if there’s a more straightforward approach. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s successfully managed similar setups or has insights into optimizing Hello Home commands for more nuanced automation. For instance, having individual dimming controls for different lights would make my setup much more flexible and user-friendly.
