Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting automation and wanted to share some of my experiences and tips! ![]()
First off, I recently upgraded my Wyze bulbs and was pleasantly surprised by their reliability. However, I did run into a peculiar issue where the app showed my bulbs as constantly “on” even when they were powered off. It was a bit confusing at first, but after some research, I realized it might be a bug in the app. Has anyone else encountered this? I’d love to hear if there’s a workaround or if it’s been resolved in newer updates! ![]()
On another note, I’ve been experimenting with Broadlink devices for automating my projector setup. I’ve got this script that controls the projector’s power and the screen’s movement, but I’m struggling to get it to trigger another Broadlink device seamlessly. If anyone has experience with chaining Broadlink commands or integrating them with other smart home ecosystems, I’d be grateful for some guidance! ![]()
Switching gears, I’ve also been exploring Govee’s offerings, particularly their table lamps and icicle lights. The vibrant color transitions and customizable settings are absolutely stunning. I managed to sync two sets of icicle lights using group control, but I noticed that some devices didn’t support firmware updates. It’s a minor hiccup, but I’d love to know if there’s a way to work around this limitation. ![]()
Lastly, I’ve been brainstorming ways to integrate my smart lighting with my daily routines. For instance, having the lights automatically adjust based on the time of day or my mood. If anyone has creative ideas or successful setups they’d like to share, I’m all ears! ![]()
Overall, the journey into smart lighting has been both challenging and rewarding. Each issue I face is an opportunity to learn and refine my setup. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences! Let’s keep the creativity flowing! ![]()
