As someone who’s deeply interested in creating a seamless smart home experience, I’ve been on a quest to integrate vintage light fixtures with modern smart controls. The idea of preserving the classic knobs while adding smart functionality is both exciting and challenging!
I stumbled upon the Skydance RF rotary knob dimmers, which have a sleek design that perfectly matches our vintage fixtures. However, the 4-zone limitation and the discontinued Wi-Fi-RF bridge have been a hurdle. I’ve spent countless hours trying to work around these issues, but it’s been quite the climb.
Enter LTech, which also offers Wi-Fi controlled knob devices. While their aesthetics aren’t as polished as Skydance’s, they seem more promising in terms of integration. I’ve heard that LTech has embraced the Matter platform, which could simplify things in the future.
The ideal setup would allow these knobs to trigger actions in my Home Assistant system. Imagine adjusting the lighting with a simple twist and having the system automatically adapt! I’m hopeful that with the right hardware and some clever coding, this vision can become a reality.
