I’ve been really excited about the latest updates in smart lighting, especially after hearing that Cree’s Connected LED now works seamlessly with WeMo! This integration opens up a whole new world of possibilities for controlling my lights through multiple platforms. I’ve been using Cree bulbs for a while now, and their compatibility with Belkin’s WeMo adds an extra layer of flexibility to my setup. It’s amazing how these devices can work together to create a truly connected home environment.
For those of you who haven’t tried it yet, the integration process is surprisingly smooth. I simply added my Cree bulbs to the WeMo app, and they were recognized instantly. This kind of interoperability is exactly what the smart home ecosystem needs to thrive. I’m curious to hear how others are leveraging this integration. Are you using it for specific routines or automations? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
On a different note, I’ve also been experimenting with Wyze cameras and their integration with other devices. I recently set up a tiny cam pro on an old TV with a Fire Stick, and it’s been a fun project. The cost was surprisingly low—around $69 for the TV, $39 for the Fire Stick, and $4 for the camera software. It’s a great way to repurpose older hardware while still getting reliable security monitoring. I’m currently monitoring three Wyze cams, and I’m excited to add an outdoor cam to the mix once it arrives.
If you’re into DIY projects, I’d love to hear about your experiences with repurposing old tech or integrating budget-friendly devices. The smart home community is all about creativity and innovation, and I’m always inspired by the unique solutions people come up with. Let’s keep the ideas flowing!
