Exploring Smart Lighting Solutions and Switch Installation Challenges

I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and switches lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with the community.

First, I’m looking into upgrading my lighting setup with some Govee lights. I’ve heard great things about their products, but I’ve run into a bit of a snag. I have a H805a and a H805B segment installed, but the app only recognizes the H805a. I’ve checked the manual and online forums, but I’m not sure if there’s another button or method to link the H805B segment properly. Has anyone encountered this issue before? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

On another note, I’m also exploring options for installing single switches in tight spaces. My current setup has limited room under the wall switches, and the installation box is quite shallow and cluttered with cables. I’ve wondered if there are alternative installation methods, like mounting the switches on a DIN rail in the electrical switchboard. I’d love to hear if anyone has experience with this or has any creative solutions for similar challenges.

Smart home technology is truly fascinating, and I’m excited to continue learning and improving my setup. If anyone has insights or recommendations, I’d be happy to hear them! Thanks in advance for your help and advice.
