Exploring Smart Lighting Solutions for a Large Villa

I’m currently working on transforming my dad’s villa into a smart home, and I’m facing some interesting challenges along the way. The villa is quite large, spanning three floors with solid concrete walls, which makes signal reach a significant concern. I’ve installed SmartThings in my own apartment, and while it worked well there, I’m worried a single hub won’t be enough for this scale.

I’ve considered using extenders, but I’m not entirely sure how they’ll perform across multiple floors with those thick walls. I’m also curious about the possibility of using multiple hubs under the same account for better coverage. Additionally, I’m planning to integrate Logitech Harmony into several media rooms, which adds another layer of complexity.

Has anyone successfully managed a similar setup? I’d love to hear about your experiences with extenders, multiple hubs, and integrating Harmony devices. Any tips on ensuring smooth operation and maintaining a single account for everything would be invaluable!

On a related note, I’m also exploring options for wireless access points that can extend Z-Wave or Zigbee signals through Ethernet. If anyone has recommendations or insights on this, I’d be grateful to hear them. It’s been a fascinating journey so far, and I’m eager to learn from the community’s expertise.
