I’m currently exploring options to retrofit smart lighting into my home without replacing the existing wall switches. Most smart bulbs don’t fit my multi-bulb setups, and family members often turn them off, disconnecting them from control. I want to keep wall switches for ease of use but need a smart solution that works with them.
I’ve looked into replacing switches, but many require a neutral wire, which I don’t have. I also need a variety of switches—1 gang, 2 gang, 3 gang, 3-way, and 4-way—plus dimmers. Finding a single manufacturer with this range at a reasonable price has been challenging.
I found a device that seems promising but isn’t compatible with SmartThings. If only they had a ZigBee version! Does anyone know of a smart switch that works with SmartThings and existing wall switches? I’d love to hear your recommendations and experiences!
Thanks for your help!
