Hi all,
I’ve been exploring ways to enhance my home’s security without compromising on aesthetics. One idea that’s been on my mind is adding lighting around my windows, ideally around the frame or sill. This setup would allow me to keep the blinds down while still giving the illusion that someone is home.
The perfect solution would be an RGBW system controlled via Zigbee or Z-Wave. It should be low profile to blend seamlessly with my home’s architecture and, of course, budget-friendly since I have eleven windows to cover on the front of my house.
I’ve come across a few products that seem promising, but I’m curious if anyone else has experience with similar setups. Have you managed to integrate RGBW lighting with Zigbee or Z-Wave controllers? Any tips on installation or preferred brands would be greatly appreciated!
Additionally, I’m thinking about automating these lights to turn on at certain times or in response to motion sensors. If anyone has implemented something like this, I’d love to hear about your setup and any challenges you faced.
Looking forward to your insights!
Best regards,
