My goal was to create a seamless integration between Fibaro RGBW Micro Controllers and Amazon Alexa, allowing me to control my LED strips effortlessly through voice commands. Here’s a glimpse of my setup and experience.Setup Overview - LED Strips: I installed SUPERNIGHT 16.4ft 12V RGBWW LED strips under my kitchen cabinets for a warm and customizable lighting solution. - Controller: The Fibaro RGBW Micro Controller was chosen for its Z-Wave compatibility and precise control over color and brightness. - Integration: Using SmartThings Hub, I connected the Fibaro controller to my Amazon Alexa ecosystem, enabling voice control and automation routines.Challenges and Solutions Initially, I faced some hurdles in getting the Fibaro controller to communicate smoothly with my Alexa devices. The key issues were: - Pairing Issues: The Fibaro controller required a stable Z-Wave network, which I achieved by resetting the network and ensuring all devices were within range. - Automation Delays: I noticed a slight delay in automation responses. This was resolved by optimizing my routines in the SmartThings app and ensuring minimal interference from other smart devices.Tips for Integration 1. Firmware Updates: Always ensure your Fibaro controller and SmartThings Hub are running the latest firmware. 2.
