Exploring Smart Lighting Solutions with Hue and Govee

I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting lately, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! :star2: I recently set up some Philips Hue bulbs in my living room, and the color-changing feature has completely transformed the ambiance. It’s amazing how a simple change in color can set the mood for different occasions—like a warm orange for cozy evenings or a vibrant blue for movie nights. However, I ran into a bit of a snag when trying to integrate them with a custom monitoring rule. The Hue bulbs work perfectly when controlled manually, but when I attempted to automate their color change based on an open/close sensor, I kept getting an error message saying none of the selected lights were capable of changing color. Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a workaround? I’d love to hear your experiences!

On another note, I’ve also been exploring Govee products, and I’m thoroughly impressed with their range of smart bulbs. Their outdoor-rated options would be a game-changer for my backyard lighting setup, especially since I’ve been using some temporary blue floodlights that lack the color customization I desire. If Govee could expand their outdoor collection, that would be fantastic! :earth_africa:

Overall, the possibilities with smart lighting are endless, and I’m excited to continue experimenting and learning from the community. If anyone has tips or recommendations, please share! Let’s keep the conversation flowing! :bulb::sparkles:
