Exploring Smart Lighting Solutions with LEDVANCE Smart+

Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting lately, and I wanted to share my experiences with the LEDVANCE Smart+ GU10 RGBW bulbs. These lights were recommended to me for outdoor use, and I thought they’d be a great addition to my garden setup. However, the journey hasn’t been entirely smooth, and I’d love to hear if anyone else has encountered similar issues or has some tips to share.

I purchased seven of these bulbs, planning to use them for some timed lighting effects in my garden. Most of the bulbs paired without any major issues, but one particular bulb has been giving me a bit of trouble. When I try to add it as a Zigbee device, I consistently get an error message stating that the device is already added. This is perplexing because I’m certain I haven’t added it before. I’ve tried resetting the bulb and重新配对,但问题依旧存在。

I also noticed that when I add this bulb through the LEDVANCE Smart+ app, it shows up as an unknown Zigbee device. It doesn’t display the usual lightbulb icon but instead uses a Zigbee icon. This makes it difficult to integrate into my existing lighting groups, which is a bit frustrating since I rely on grouping to keep my automation flows organized.

I’ve reached out to the LEDVANCE support team, but I’m still waiting on a response. In the meantime, I’ve been exploring some workarounds. I found a suggestion online about re-interviewing the device through the developer page, but unfortunately, that didn’t resolve the issue either. I’m hoping someone in the community might have encountered this before and could offer some guidance.

On a more positive note, the bulbs themselves are performing exceptionally well. The color transitions are smooth, and the brightness levels are consistent. It’s just a shame that one bulb is causing such a hiccup in my setup. I’m really looking forward to getting this resolved so I can fully enjoy the benefits of these smart lights.

If anyone has any insights or solutions, I’d be incredibly grateful! Thanks in advance for your help.
