Exploring Smart Lock Solutions for Multi-Point Doors

Hello everyone, I’m currently exploring smart lock options for a multi-point door and would love your insights and recommendations. The door in question is a Jeld Wen Siteline Clad Auralast Pine Inswing Door with a Harleston Traditional Multi-Point handle. It’s quite tall, about 95 inches, and has a depth of 1.75 inches. The locking mechanism includes a thumb-turn deadbolt and pins that secure the top and bottom of the door when the handle is pressed up.

My goal is to find a smart lock system that can either replace the existing handle/locking apparatus or work with the current setup. Ideally, I’d like an option that allows assigning individual access codes to specific guests, but a simple electronic keypad would also suffice. I’m curious to know if retrofitting a system to control just the deadbolt is feasible or if replacing the entire handle/locking mechanism would be a better approach.

I’ve come across a few potential solutions, but I’m not sure which would be the most reliable and compatible with my door’s specific setup. If anyone has experience with multi-point door smart locks or can recommend a system that integrates well with such configurations, I’d greatly appreciate your input.

Additionally, I’m open to suggestions on how to best integrate this system with my existing smart home setup, which includes Home Assistant and various smart devices. Any tips on installation, compatibility, or preferred brands would be invaluable.

Thank you in advance for your help and insights! I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences with multi-point door smart locks.
