Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation and thought I’d share some of my experiences and tips for anyone encountering similar issues. Recently, I installed the Tado x Smart Radiator TRV, and while most of them have been running smoothly, one unit has been making an unusual clicking or popping noise, even when it’s not actively regulating the temperature. This has been a bit of a nuisance, especially in the quiet moments of the day.
I decided to do a bit of troubleshooting before reaching out to customer support. I removed the TRV and noticed the noise persisted even when it wasn’t connected to the valve. After checking the push pin and ensuring it was free of obstructions, I realized this might not be normal behavior. I thought I’d share my findings and ask if anyone else has encountered this or has any advice on how to resolve it without too much hassle.
On another note, I’ve been exploring ways to optimize my smart home setup and came across some fantastic resources. For instance, the Govee Outdoor Lamp Post Light seems like a game-changer for outdoor lighting, and I’m seriously considering adding it to my setup. I’ve also been experimenting with Node-Red to streamline some of my automations, which has been a steep but rewarding learning curve.
If anyone has tips on reducing TRV noise or optimizing Node-Red workflows, I’d love to hear them! Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other navigate the exciting (and sometimes tricky) world of smart home tech. ![]()
