As the colder months approach, I’m finding myself increasingly frustrated with the uneven distribution of heat in my home. Some rooms feel like a refrigerator while others turn into saunas, making it a constant battle to find comfort. This has led me to consider smart vents as a potential solution to balance the temperatures throughout my house.I’ve done some research and am now contemplating the installation of smart vents. My HVAC system is managed by an Ecobee thermostat, and I currently have 8 Ecobee room sensors installed. Flair seems to be more cost-effective initially, but I’m concerned about relying solely on their cloud service for functionality. On the other hand, Keen offers more precise control with adjustable vent positions and direct integration with my SmartThings hub, which could provide a more reliable and future-proof solution.I’m also considering how these systems will integrate with my existing setup. Flair’s cloud-to-cloud integration with Ecobee sounds appealing, but I worry about potential compatibility issues down the line. Keen’s direct connection to SmartThings might offer more stability, especially as I plan to expand my smart home ecosystem.Another factor is the scalability of the system. If I need to add more vents in the future, I want a solution that can easily accommodate that without requiring additional hubs or gateways. Keen’s ability to use other Zigbee devices as repeaters gives me confidence in its expandability.I’m curious to hear from others who have experience with these brands.
