Exploring Smart Vents for Efficient Climate Control

After moving into my 1947 home, I’ve been on a quest to find the perfect smart vents to improve our heating and cooling efficiency. The layout of the house, with vents centrally located, makes it a unique challenge. I’ve been researching various options, but finding vents that fit both the size and the smart technology requirements has been a bit of a puzzle.

I’ve installed multiple temperature sensors throughout the house, including some from multi-purpose sensors and Ecobee thermostats, which provide a wealth of data. However, without smart vents, it’s been difficult to maintain a consistent temperature across all rooms. The dining room, for instance, often feels too warm compared to the bedrooms, which can be a bit chilly.

I’ve come across some promising options, but many don’t seem to offer the customization or integration I’m looking for. I’m particularly interested in vents that can be controlled via a smartphone app and work seamlessly with my existing smart home ecosystem. If anyone has experience with smart vents, especially in older homes, I’d love to hear your recommendations or tips on how to approach this project. Let’s make this house as efficient as it is cozy!
