I’ve been diving into the world of SmartThings automation and stumbled upon an interesting challenge that I thought might spark some discussion here. I have a main WiFi network for all my devices and a separate guest network for visitors. What I’m curious about is whether there’s a way to detect if any device is connected to the guest network and automatically trigger SmartThings to enter a ‘guest mode’ as a result. The goal here is to avoid installing additional software on everyone’s devices, especially since we have multiple sitters who come and go. I’d love to hear if anyone has tackled something similar or has insights on how to approach this without complicating things too much. It’s a bit of a puzzle, but I’m optimistic there’s a smart way to make it work!
