I’ve been thoroughly enjoying my SmartThings setup in my current 2800 sq ft home. The reliability is almost impeccable at 99.99%, and it’s all DIY. But now, we’ve moved into a 15,000 sq ft home, and DIY just isn’t feasible anymore. I’m curious to know if anyone has successfully deployed SmartThings on a scale this large. It would be fantastic to hear about any challenges faced, solutions implemented, and overall experiences.
The builder recommended Crestron and Control4, but they seem closed off, expensive, and their mobile apps look outdated. My past experience with Crestron hasn’t been great, so I’m really hoping SmartThings can be a viable alternative. I’m also wondering if there are professional setup and maintenance options available for SmartThings on such a large scale.
