Hello everyone, I’m excited to share my recent purchase and some questions about compatibility with SmartThings. I just ordered the Samsung FlexWash 6-cu ft High Efficiency Front-Load Washer - WV60M9900AV and the Samsung FlexDry 7.5-cu ft Gas Dryer - DVG60M9900V. I’m really looking forward to integrating these into my smart home setup, but I have a few questions I’d love to get some insights on.
First, does anyone know if these models are compatible with SmartThings? I’ve heard great things about SmartThings, but I want to make sure everything works seamlessly. If they are compatible, will they work on the classic app? I’m not sure if I need to stick with the classic version or if the newer app will handle these devices just fine.
Another thing I’m curious about is the connectivity. Do these appliances connect over Wi-Fi or do I need to use the Samsung USB dongle? I’m trying to keep things as wireless as possible, so if Wi-Fi works out of the box, that would be fantastic. If not, I guess I’ll have to make space for the dongle somewhere.
I’m also wondering about the setup process. Has anyone here successfully integrated Samsung washers and dryers with SmartThings? Any tips or tricks you can share would be super helpful. I want to make sure I don’t run into any unexpected issues when I get everything set up.
Lastly, I’m thinking about the potential for automation. I’d love to create routines that start the washer or dryer at specific times, or even integrate them with other smart devices in my home. If anyone has experience with this, I’d love to hear about your setup and how it’s working for you.
