Exploring the Benefits of Homey Bridge in My Smart Home

I’ve been using the Homey Bridge for a while now, and I’m excited to share my experience and insights with the community! :star2:

Initially, I was curious about what exactly the Homey Bridge adds to a smart home setup. I connected it to my Philips Hue lights via the Hue Bridge, IKEA Trådfri lights, and an Aqara Smart Plug, all using Zigbee. I also linked it to three Nest Home minis. However, I noticed that some devices, like my Philips Hue motion sensor, weren’t supported directly, which was a bit frustrating. I’ve heard mixed information about this, so I’d love to hear if others have had similar experiences or found workarounds!

One feature I’m particularly interested in is the http request card for flows, especially for my Ngenic Tune smart thermostat. I’ve read that it’s possible to control it through Homey, but I’m still looking for a clear tutorial or explanation. If anyone has successfully set this up, I’d be grateful for some guidance!

Documentation has been another area I’ve been exploring. I’ve found some resources for Homey Pro, but they don’t quite cover the Bridge’s capabilities. I’d love to see more detailed guides or tutorials specifically for the Bridge. Have any of you come across helpful resources or tips?

Overall, while I’ve been able to automate basic tasks like turning lights on and off, I’m eager to dive deeper into the advanced features of flows and see what else the Homey Bridge can offer. I’m also curious about how others have integrated their systems and what benefits they’ve experienced!

If anyone has tips, tricks, or success stories with the Homey Bridge, I’d love to hear them! Let’s share our experiences and learn from each other! :handshake:
