Exploring the Benefits of Smart Thermostats in Florida

As a homeowner in Florida, I’ve always been fascinated by how smart thermostats can optimize heating and cooling efficiency. After researching various options, I decided to try the Wyze Thermostat, hoping it would help me save on energy costs during the hot summer months. However, I’ve encountered an unexpected issue since updating to firmware 1.1.7—my thermostat now randomly cycles the blower fan. This is concerning because my AC ducts are located in the attic, and circulating air through them during the summer seems extremely inefficient.

I’ve tried adjusting the fan settings and tweaking the advanced options, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. Ideally, I’d like the fan to only run when the AC is actively cooling, not cycle unnecessarily. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to disable or reduce the fan cycling? I’d love to hear from others who might have experienced similar issues or found a workaround.

On a more positive note, I’ve been impressed with how the Wyze app integrates with other smart home devices. It’s been a breeze setting up routines and automations, and the integration with Alexa has made controlling my thermostat even more seamless. I’m hopeful that with some troubleshooting, I can get the most out of this device and enjoy the energy savings it promises.
