I’ve been really impressed with how Govee has incorporated WW LEDs into their products, especially in devices like the Lyra, Star Pal, and Flow Pros. The warm, smooth white light they produce is a huge improvement over RGB-based white light, which often feels harsh or unnatural. I’ve been using these lights in my living room, and the difference is night and day. The ambiance is much more comfortable, and the color accuracy is stunning.
One thing I’d love to see more of is WW LEDs in their RGBIC strips. While RGBIC is fantastic for vibrant colors, the white light could use that same level of refinement. I imagine having a strip where every second or third LED is a WW diode. This would allow for cleaner, more natural indirect lighting without compromising the ability to switch to RGBIC when desired.
If anyone has tips or tricks for optimizing RGBIC strips for white light, I’d love to hear them! The potential for these devices is huge, and with a little tweak, they could become even more versatile. Let’s keep the conversation going and share our experiences with Govee products!
