I’ve managed to get zigbee2mqtt installed and all my devices connected, which is pretty cool. Now, I’m at the point where I want to create some scenes to make my home even smarter.
I’ve noticed that zigbee2mqtt has its own frontend where I can create scenes, but I’m also using Home Assistant, which also allows scene creation. I’m a bit torn about which platform to use for this purpose. What are the pros and cons of each? I’d love to hear from those who have experience with both.
From what I understand, zigbee2mqtt might offer more direct control over the devices since it’s closer to the hardware layer, but I’m not entirely sure. On the other hand, Home Assistant seems more flexible with integrations and automations. I want to make the best choice right from the start, but I’m still learning the ropes.
