Hey everyone, I’ve been really excited about the BLE Positioning System (BPS) and how it can integrate with Home Assistant. I’ve been using ESPHome devices with Bluetooth proxy functionality and Bermuda to track my Bluetooth devices around the house. It’s been a fantastic way to keep tabs on my family’s devices in real-time!
One thing I’ve been curious about is how to optimize the zone detection feature. I’ve set up zones for each room, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to make the zone transitions smoother or more accurate. For instance, when someone moves from the kitchen to the living room, the system sometimes takes a moment to update the zone. Any tips or experiences others have had with this would be super helpful!
Another thing I’m exploring is multi-floor detection. My house has three floors, and being able to track devices across different levels would be a game-changer. I’d love to hear how others have set this up and if there are any particular challenges or workarounds they’ve encountered.
Overall, BPS has been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup. It’s amazing to see how seamlessly it integrates with Home Assistant and how it enhances my ability to monitor and manage devices around the house. I’m looking forward to seeing how this technology evolves and if there are any future updates or features that could make it even better!
If anyone has any questions or experiences they’d like to share about BPS, I’d love to hear them. Let’s keep the discussion going and help each other make the most out of this innovative system! ![]()
