I’ve been diving into the world of home automation with Broadlink remotes, and it’s been an exciting journey! Initially, I started with my TV remote, which worked seamlessly. I captured the codes, integrated them into automations, and everything was running smoothly. Buoyed by this success, I decided to expand to my speakers. I renamed the device to ‘logitech’ and tried the same approach, but that’s where things got tricky. The system wouldn’t validate the files, and I kept getting errors about invalid commands. After some troubleshooting, I realized that renaming the device to something other than ‘samsung32’ caused the issues. I reverted to using ‘samsung32’ for all devices but appended unique suffixes to differentiate them. This seemed to work, but I still encountered occasional glitches. I suspect it might be related to how Broadlink handles device names and their associated commands. If anyone has insights or solutions, I’d love to hear them! ![]()
