I’ve been really impressed with the versatility of the Galaxy SmartTag when paired with the SmartThings app. The ability to assign actions to a simple press or hold is incredibly intuitive and opens up a whole new layer of automation possibilities. For instance, I’ve set up my SmartTag to trigger specific routines like turning on lights or adjusting thermostats, which has made my daily routine much smoother.
However, I stumbled upon a limitation that piqued my curiosity. While the SmartThings app allows me to assign actions to the SmartTag, I can’t seem to integrate these actions into routines as conditions. For example, I’d love to create a routine where if my presence sensor detects me at home and I press the SmartTag, it triggers a specific sequence of actions. Unfortunately, this isn’t possible at the moment. I wonder if there’s a workaround or if this is something the community has found a solution for.
It’s fascinating how such a small device can have such a big impact on home automation. I’m eager to explore more possibilities and hopefully find a way to fully integrate the SmartTag into my routines. If anyone has insights or tips, I’d love to hear them!
