I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I’ve got to say, it’s been a fascinating journey! One of the things I’ve been particularly interested in is how to make my home automation more dynamic by incorporating time-based triggers and sunrise conditions. I’ve been experimenting with setting up my lights to turn on in the morning based on both a specific time window and the sunrise time, but I’ve hit a bit of a snag with the sunrise condition not triggering as expected. I’m curious if anyone else has tackled this and how they’ve managed to get it working smoothly.
Here’s a bit of the setup I’ve been working with:
- I’ve got motion sensors in my hall and small lounge that I want to trigger the lights in the morning.
- I’ve set up conditions to activate between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM, which seems to be working fine.
- The sunrise condition is where things get a bit tricky. I’ve tried setting it to activate if sunrise is between a certain time, but it doesn’t seem to be triggering consistently.
I’d love to hear if anyone has successfully combined time and sunrise conditions in their automations. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated! It would be awesome to get this working seamlessly, as it would make my mornings much brighter and more efficient.
