Hi everyone, I’m really excited to dive into the world of smart irrigation and wanted to share my thoughts and experiences so far. I’ve been using a Rainbird STP-6 irrigation controller for my garden, which has been working well for controlling my 4 valves. However, I’ve recently come across the EtherRain, and I’m curious about how it can integrate with my existing setup.
The main goal for me is to control my irrigation system through Vera Lite while still being able to manually operate the Rainbird controller when I’m in the shed. I’m wondering if it’s possible to connect both the Rainbird and EtherRain to the valves without any conflicts. Has anyone successfully combined these two systems before?
I’m also interested in hearing about others’ experiences with smart irrigation controllers and how they’ve managed to automate their watering schedules effectively. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated! Let’s discuss and explore the possibilities together.
