I’ve been diving into the world of smart home gadgets lately, and it’s been an absolute blast! From automating my lighting to controlling my devices with just my voice, there’s so much to explore and love about this technology. Today, I want to share some of my experiences and tips that might help others on their smart home journey. 
One of my favorite discoveries has been the Govee meat thermometer. I never realized how much it could enhance my cooking until I tried it. Being able to monitor the exact temperature of my food without having to constantly check it has taken my cooking to a whole new level. If you’re into grilling or precision cooking, I highly recommend this gadget! 
Another device that’s been a game-changer for me is the Govee smart kettle. The idea of having the kettle indicate the boiling process with color-changing lights is both functional and visually appealing. It starts with a cool blue when you turn it on and gradually shifts to a warm red as the water reaches boiling point. It’s a small feature, but it makes such a big difference in the kitchen! 
I’ve also been experimenting with setting up my Wyze cameras. One thing I learned early on was the importance of figuring out the right port settings. If you’re trying to consolidate your camera feeds into one app, make sure to check the port number for each camera. I found that using the default port worked best for me, but it’s always good to double-check your router settings to ensure everything is forwarding correctly. 
On the lighting front, I’ve been absolutely thrilled with my GoveeT2 bulbs. The ability to sync them with my Hexa panels for a seamless lighting experience has completely transformed my living space. Whether it’s creating a cozy ambiance for movie nights or brightening up the room for a party, these bulbs have been nothing short of amazing. 
One thing I’d love to hear more about from the community is how others are handling camera placement. I’ve got a few Swann cameras that I’m planning to mount outside, but I’m a bit concerned about the window screens obstructing the view. Has anyone successfully set up cameras in similar situations? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!
