Hey everyone, I’m really excited to share my recent experience integrating Vera with my Govee lighting setup. I’ve been using Vera for a while now, and it’s been a fantastic hub for my smart home. However, I’ve been curious about whether Vera can communicate with my Govee devices, especially their new lighting kits. Does anyone know if Vera supports IP communication with Govee devices? If so, what app would I use to control them? I’ve heard great things about the Govee app, but I’d love to see it integrated seamlessly with Vera.
On another note, I’ve been experimenting with the Emulate card in my flows. It’s been a game-changer for controlling Homey via Telegram. I can send commands like “Turn on the living room lights” and it works flawlessly. However, I’ve hit a snag when trying to get answers back. For instance, if I ask, “What’s the temperature in the house?” I don’t get any response. From what I can tell, the Emulate card doesn’t provide any output. Does anyone know if there’s a way to get output from Cards, whether it’s success/failure messages or actual data like temperature readings? This would really enhance my setup.
I’ve also been exploring the HomeKit addon and its faultStatus feature. I’m trying to map the availability status of my Zigbee sensors using Zigbee2MQTT, but I’m not seeing any warnings in the Home app, unlike the Low Battery visualization. I’m curious if others have had success with faultStatus and how they’ve configured it. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
Lastly, I wanted to share a fun project I’ve been working on. I’ve set up a flow that notifies me when the temperature in my house changes, which helps me decide whether to open or close the windows. However, I’m getting notifications every 15 minutes, which is a bit overwhelming. Is there a way to limit these notifications to once every hour? I’d love to hear any tips or tricks for managing notification frequency.
