Exploring Vera, Govee, and Hue in My Smart Home Journey

Hey everyone, I wanted to share some exciting updates and thoughts about my recent experiences with Vera, Govee, and Hue devices in my smart home setup. :star2:

First off, I was thrilled to discover Vera devices in local stores recently! It’s great to see them making a push into retail with bundled kits, as mentioned in some posts. I’ve been exploring their products and am impressed by their versatility and ease of use. If you haven’t checked them out yet, I highly recommend giving Vera a try! :shopping_cart:

Speaking of new products, I came across Govee’s latest Neon LED Rope Lights, and I’m absolutely blown away by their length and brightness. While the price is a bit steep for my budget right now, I’m really excited to see how others incorporate these into their homes. The five-meter option seems perfect for larger spaces, and I can’t wait to read some reviews! :bulb:

On another note, I’ve been experimenting with Philips Hue bulbs and their ability to act as Zigbee repeaters when paired directly with Home Assistant. It’s been a game-changer for my setup, especially with the mix of Sengled and Hue bulbs I have. By factory resetting the Hue bulbs and joining them directly to HA, they now serve as excellent repeaters, enhancing the overall connectivity of my Zigbee network. :globe_with_meridians:

I’d love to hear from others who have tried similar setups or have any tips for optimizing their smart home configurations. Whether it’s Vera, Govee, Hue, or other devices, let’s keep the conversation going and share our experiences!

Cheers,
