Exploring Wyze Cam V3 for 24/7 Home Security

I’ve been really impressed with the Wyze Cam V3 since I picked it up late last year. After a few minor hiccups, it’s become an essential part of my home security setup. Initially, I ran into some issues with the SD card—specifically with a 256GB Samsung Pro Endurance—where the camera would stop recording once the card was full. But after formatting the card on my PC first and then through the Wyze app, it started working much more smoothly. It would record and overwrite old footage as it should, which was exactly what I needed after a recent incident where someone damaged my car.

However, the camera had another hiccup recently, showing 0GB/0GB on the card again. I’m still not entirely sure why this happens, but I’m glad the Samsung Pro Endurance card is supposed to handle up to 140,000 hours of recording. I’m hopeful that with some tweaking, it’ll continue to be reliable.

If anyone has tips on optimizing the Wyze Cam V3 for 24/7 use, especially with high-endurance SD cards, I’d love to hear them! It’s been a great investment so far, and I’m excited to see how it performs long-term.
