Exploring Wyze Camera Sharing and Thumbnail Events

I recently set up Wyze cameras in my home and decided to share access with my spouse. The idea was to ensure both of us could monitor the cameras remotely. However, I encountered an issue with the thumbnail events feature that I wanted to explore further. When my spouse tried to view the thumbnail events, she received a message stating ‘No Events in the last 24hrs.’ This was puzzling because I knew the cameras were active.

After some research, I discovered that this might be a common issue when sharing camera access. I reached out to the community to see if others had faced similar problems. Many users shared their experiences, and it turned out that this issue could be related to the app version or device settings. Upgrading the Wyze app to the latest version and ensuring proper permissions were set seemed to resolve the problem for several users.

I decided to try these solutions myself. Upgrading the app to version v2.47.0 and double-checking the sharing permissions made a significant difference. My spouse could now view the thumbnail events without any issues. This experience taught me the importance of keeping apps updated and thoroughly checking settings when sharing access.

It’s always reassuring to know that the community is supportive and willing to share their knowledge. If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, I recommend starting with these basic troubleshooting steps before reaching out for further assistance. Happy sharing and monitoring with Wyze!
