Hey everyone! I’ve been really impressed with the Wyze Outdoor Cam I picked up recently. It’s been a great addition to my smart home setup, offering reliable surveillance right out of the box. However, I’ve noticed something that’s got me a bit puzzled, and I’d love to hear if anyone else has encountered this or has some insights.
From what I understand, there’s something called a ‘cool down period’ that kicks in after the camera detects motion. I believe this means that once an event is detected, the camera waits for a set amount of time—like five minutes—before it can detect or record another event. While this might be a feature designed to reduce false alarms, it’s been a bit of a nuisance for me. I’ve had instances where the camera missed some activity because it was still in the cool down phase.
I’d love to know if others have experienced this and if there’s a way to adjust or disable this cool down period. Maybe there’s a setting I’m missing or a workaround that can help make the camera more responsive to ongoing activity. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!
Also, if anyone has any general advice or favorite features of the Wyze Outdoor Cam, I’d love to hear about those too. It’s always great to learn from others’ experiences and tips!
Thanks in advance for your help and insights!
