I recently got my hands on the Wyze Pan Cam and decided to give it a try. The unboxing was pretty straightforward, but setting it up was a bit of a challenge. First off, finding the QR code on the camera was a bit of a puzzle. I had to hold it under a light to see it properly. Once I managed to scan it, the app connected without issues. However, the real test came when I tried to use it to keep an eye on my dog while I’m away.
The first few attempts were frustrating. The camera kept showing an ‘Error-90’ message, and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I tried restarting the camera, resetting the router, and even reinstalling the app. Nothing worked. I was starting to think I might have wasted my money. But then, I remembered reading somewhere that sometimes the camera needs a bit of time to stabilize after setup. I gave it a few hours, and voilà! It started working perfectly.
Now, I’m using it to monitor my backyard, and it’s been a lifesaver. The motion detection is spot on, and the night vision works like a charm. I even set up notifications to alert me of any activity. It’s amazing how much peace of mind this little camera has given me.
If anyone else is struggling with their Wyze Pan Cam, don’t lose hope. Sometimes, it’s just a matter of giving it a bit of time. Also, make sure your firmware is up to date and your router is in a good spot. Happy spying on your furry friends! ![]()
