Exploring Xiaomi Flower Sensor Integration and More

Hi all, I’ve been diving into some interesting projects lately and thought I’d share my experiences and questions with you. First off, I’ve been working with the Xiaomi flower sensor in Home Assistant (HA). It’s fantastic how it reports lux values, but I’ve noticed that the Xiaomi app also shows light accumulation, which is super useful for checking if a plant’s position is optimal. Does anyone know how to create a combined sensor in HA that aggregates these values? I’m curious about the calculations involved, especially since I’m not entirely sure what units like mmol represent. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

On another note, I stumbled upon a fun DIY project—a chick breaking out of an Easter egg! It’s a single and dual v1 curtain setup, and the visuals are pretty cute. If anyone has tried similar projects or has tips on improving the effect, I’d love to hear about it. Easter is just around the corner, and this could be a great way to add some festive cheer to my home setup.

Lastly, I’ve been exploring ways to integrate Wyze cameras into my smart home setup. Unfortunately, a squirrel managed to chew through the USB cable of my Wyze Cam3. I’m wondering if any standard USB Micro-B to USB A cable would work as a replacement or if there’s a specific type I should look for. I’d hate to lose this camera setup, so any advice would be a lifesaver!

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences on these topics. Happy tinkering everyone!
