Exploring Zigbee Data Monitoring and Device Integration

Hello everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of Zigbee devices lately and wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with the community. I recently purchased an Aqara Cube (T1 Pro) and have noticed that it’s not sending data as frequently as I’d expect. Out of five movements, Home Assistant only registers one at most. This inconsistency has me curious about the underlying mechanics of Zigbee communication and how we can optimize it for better reliability.

I’ve read through some posts and resources about using Z2M (Zigbee2MQTT) for monitoring raw data, but I’m still unclear on the best practices for logging and real-time observation. Does anyone have a go-to method or tool they recommend for troubleshooting such issues? I’d love to get to the bottom of this and ensure my devices are performing at their best.

On a related note, I’ve also been exploring integrating multiple Zigbee devices across different brands. While it’s impressive how these devices can work together, I’m curious about the limitations and potential conflicts that might arise. Has anyone successfully managed a diverse ecosystem of Zigbee devices, and if so, what tips or lessons learned would you share?

Lastly, I’ve stumbled upon some innovative solutions for advanced smart switching, such as using relays to control heating devices based on water flow. While I’m intrigued by these setups, I’m also cautious about safety and reliability. I’d appreciate any insights or best practices for implementing such systems securely.

Thank you all in advance for your wisdom and experiences. It’s fantastic to be part of such a supportive and knowledgeable community!
