I’m currently on a quest to find the perfect Zigbee temperature and humidity sensor that can reliably run on 2x 1.2V AA or AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries. Most sensors I’ve come across are designed for 3V button cells or 1.5V alkalines, which often leads to instability or early failure when using rechargeables due to the lower voltage. I’m particularly interested in a sensor that not only has a display but also lasts more than a few weeks on a single set of batteries.
Has anyone here had success with a specific model that meets these criteria? I’m also curious about any tips or tricks to maximize battery life with such sensors. Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
