Father/Son Dates and the Joy of Family Automation

As a father of two, I’ve always believed in the importance of quality time with my kids. Over the years, I’ve made it a priority to create monthly father/son and father/daughter dates. These special days allow us to connect, talk about life, and enjoy each other’s company. It’s heartwarming to see how these dates have evolved from simple outings to deeper, more meaningful conversations as my children grow older. I’m proud to watch my 21-year-old son grow into an amazing young man, and I know these moments will be cherished memories for both of us.

On a different note, I’ve been exploring ways to integrate my family’s smart home devices more seamlessly. I recently came across the Monoprice Z-Wave Plus Plug-In Power Monitor, which seems like a great addition to my setup. It’s amazing how such devices can help us monitor and manage our energy usage more effectively. If you’re looking to enhance your home automation without breaking the bank, this might be worth checking out!

Another exciting development I’ve been following is the potential for custom app icons in the Govee app. I think it would be fantastic to have a variety of icons to choose from, allowing users to personalize their experience even further. I’ve reached out to Govee with this suggestion and am hopeful they’ll consider it in future updates.

Lastly, I’d like to extend a huge shoutout to Matthew Ungar for his incredible contributions to the community. His work has been instrumental in helping many of us achieve our smart home goals. Kudos to him!

Family and technology—two aspects of life that bring me immense joy. I’m grateful for the opportunities to share both with you all.
