Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! 
This is a day to relax, enjoy some quality time, and maybe even try out a new DIY project. I recently came across some amazing Father’s Day DIY ideas for the Pixel Light, and I wanted to share them with you all. Here’s one of my favorites—a recipe for Galician Empanadas, perfect for a hearty meal after a day of grilling or relaxing.### Galician Empanada RecipeIngredients:- Dough: Flour, yeast, salt, water, and a splash of oil.- Filling: Shrimp, surimi sticks, red and green peppers, onion, water, white wine, olive oil, black pepper, paprika, and parsley.**Instructions:**1. Sofrito: Sauté the onion in olive oil, add the peppers, a splash of wine, and water. Let it reduce.2. Filling: Add surimi sticks and shrimp to the sofrito.3. Dough: Stretch the dough, fill it with the mixture, cover, paint with egg, and bake at 180°C (356°F) for 9 minutes, then flip and bake for another 6 minutes.The result is delicious and satisfying! You can also customize the filling with chorizo, bacon, or meat if you prefer.### Smart Home Project: Plant TrackerI’ve also been working on a fun project using AppDaemon to create a plant tracker. It’s a simple habit tracker/reminder for watering plants, especially useful for those that need water less frequently. Each plant is configured with a watering interval and window, and the script creates sensors to track their status. The states are updated daily or when you water them. It’s been a great way to keep my plants healthy and my mind at ease.### Firmware Update WorkaroundSpeaking of smart home projects, I recently encountered an issue with a firmware update on my NMC2 device. It turned out that setting a ‘Host Name’ shorter than four characters caused SSH connection problems. My workaround was to extend the hostname to four characters, which resolved the issue instantly.
