Happy Father’s Day to all dads out there!
As a dad who loves tinkering with tech, I wanted to share some of my recent projects and experiences. First, I recently set up a vintage doorbell system using Home Assistant, decoupling the button and chime for full control. It’s been a fun project, and I can now control the chime through my phone or even integrate it with my smart home setup! ![]()
On a more technical note, I’ve been exploring the ViewX server licenses and how they work in a Main-Standby setup. It’s fascinating to see how many clients can connect based on the licenses, but I’m still a bit unclear on the exact numbers. If anyone has insights, I’d love to hear! ![]()
Another thing I’ve been working on is setting up a reliable reverse proxy for Home Assistant on my Synology NAS. It’s been a bit of a challenge, especially with port configurations, but I’m slowly getting the hang of it. If anyone has tips on configuring non-standard ports, that’d be super helpful! ![]()
Lastly, I wanted to share some DIY colors I’ve created for my home projects. They’ve really added a personal touch, and I hope others might find them useful too. ![]()
If anyone has similar projects or tips, I’d love to hear about them! Let’s keep the community spirit alive! ![]()
