Hi Aqara team,
I’d like to request that the W100 exposes full 0.5°C setpoint precision in thermostat mode over its Zigbee endpoint.
Right now, the device’s own screen already accepts and displays 0.5° increments when adjusting the setpoint. But the PMTSD frame sent over Zigbee truncates the T (temperature) field to whole integers before it ever reaches Home Assistant / Zigbee2MQTT — so a setpoint of 25.5°C set from HA (or reflected back from the screen) arrives as 25°C.
Since the device clearly handles decimal precision internally — it’s right there on the screen — this looks like a choice in how the PMTSD frame is implemented, not a hardware limitation. If the screen can do it, there’s no technical reason the Zigbee frame can’t carry the same value.
Please prioritize fixing this — it’s the main thing standing between the W100 and being a genuinely reliable thermostat remote controller for AC systems that use half-degree setpoints.
Thanks.
