Feature Request: PID Thermostat Option for Climate Sensor W100

Hello Aqara Team and Community,

I’d like to suggest adding a PID-based thermostat function to the W100 Climate Sensor, with the option to select PID / On-Off / Hysteresis modes.

I work as a building services (HVAC) engineer and instructor, and I see a clear market need for thermostats with PID control. Few devices currently offer this, leaving the niche underserved. Aqara sensors are highly customizable and integrate well with smart home systems, making them ideal for this feature.

The W100 already measures with high accuracy (±0.2 °C), but simple on/off control can cause overshoot or undershoot. PID control would allow smoother, more energy-efficient regulation while improving comfort.

Thank you for considering this suggestion, and I’d love to hear the community’s thoughts!

Hello, welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately, the W100 will remain just an advanced thermometer with the ability to control (set) the control temperature for devices such as the E1 and W600 radiator regulator, as well as the W500 and W200 thermostat. Let’s hope that Aqara will develop a new product with the requirements you described.
I would like to be able to set the temperature in automations.
