Right now, no mainstream smart thermostat (Nest, Ecobee) supports true 3-stage cooling or heat pumps (Y3). Anyone running higher-end multi-stage equipment is pretty much forced to buy locked-down, crappy thermostats from Carrier, Trane, etc.
Could we get this added via a firmware update on the current W200? For instance, allowing us to assign an unused terminal like W2 into a Y3 stage? If the hardware doesn’t allow it, definitely consider building it into whatever successor model comes next.
Adding 3-stage support would instantly make the Aqara thermostat the go-to recommendation for people with high-end HVAC setups, and would be a massive differentiator for Aqara.

Right now, the W200 supports up to 2-stage heating and 2-stage cooling for furnaces and ACs, and 2-stage heating plus 2-stage auxiliary heating for heat pumps. So a true third stage (Y3) isn’t on the current hardware roadmap, and I can’t speak to whether a firmware re-map of terminals like W2→Y3 would be electrically feasible — that would need validation from the hardware team.
Your broader point about the gap in mainstream smart thermostats for high-end multi-stage equipment is well taken, though. It’s exactly the kind of use-case feedback that helps shape future product direction.
