Fibaro Dimmer Experience and Solution

I recently encountered an interesting challenge with my Fibaro dimmer, and I wanted to share my experience and solution with the community. Fibaro dimmers are known for their reliability, but I faced an unexpected issue when pairing it with my Philips LED spots. Initially, the dimming function didn’t work as expected, so I decided to explore different solutions to resolve the problem.

After some research, I discovered that installing a bypass module could help. I connected it in parallel over one of the LED spots, and it worked! The dimming function started working smoothly. However, I noticed an unusual behavior when using the wall switch to dim the lights. When I held the switch to lower the dimming level, the lights would stop at level 0 but remain faintly lit. Surprisingly, Vera indicated that the lights were off, even though they were still dimly on. Pressing the off button finally turned them off completely.

This inconsistency was puzzling, so I reached out to the community for advice. One user suggested adjusting the dimmer settings within Vera to ensure proper communication between the dimmer and the LED spots. After tweaking the settings, the issue was resolved, and the dimmer now functions perfectly with the wall switch.

This experience taught me the importance of thorough testing and community support when dealing with smart home devices. If anyone else is facing similar challenges, I recommend checking the device settings and consulting forums for potential solutions. Happy dimming everyone! :star2:
