I recently added a second Fibaro FGFS-101 flood sensor to my smart home setup, and I’m curious about the multi-channel nodes that appear with this device. I noticed that when I set it up using a power supply instead of a battery, it created several nodes in my system. I’m not entirely sure why this happens, and I’m wondering if it’s normal behavior or if there’s a way to streamline the setup to avoid unnecessary nodes.
I’m running version 5.0.13b of my software and using a new Z-Wave Plus 500 board from UDI for testing. From what I can see, the sensor seems to add nodes even when the tamper switch is tripped, which I assume is during installation. I’m curious if this is a standard feature of the FGFS-101 or if there’s a configuration step I might have missed to prevent this.
Has anyone else experienced this with their Fibaro flood sensors? I’d love to hear if there’s a best practice or a setting that can help manage these nodes more effectively. I want to ensure my system remains clean and efficient without unnecessary nodes cluttering the interface.
