Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation and recently decided to add a Fibaro Thermostat FGT-001 to my setup. I’m currently running OpenHAB 2.5.1-2 and was excited to integrate this device into my system. However, I’ve encountered a bit of a hurdle that I’m hoping the community can help me navigate.
When attempting to add the thermostat, I consistently receive the following error message in the console: [DEBUG] [nding.zwave.handler.ZWaveThingHandler] - NODE 22: Unable to find thing type (010F:1301:1001:4.6). From what I understand, the FGT-001 should be well-supported by this version of OpenHAB. This has left me wondering if the issue might be related to the firmware version of the thermostat itself.
I’ve done a bit of research and reached out to some forums, but I’m still not entirely sure where to start with the troubleshooting. Here are a few steps I’ve considered:
- Firmware Check: I plan to check if there’s a newer firmware version available for the FGT-001 that might resolve the compatibility issue. I’ve heard that sometimes firmware updates can resolve unexpected bugs or compatibility problems.
- Device Reset: Another idea is to perform a factory reset on the thermostat to ensure that there aren’t any lingering configurations causing the issue.
- Z-Wave Network Health: I also want to inspect the overall health of my Z-Wave network to rule out any interference or communication issues that might be contributing to the problem.
