Firmware update plan for Aqara cameras

This post will be used to continuously release the update plan for Aqara Camera firmware irregularly in the future. I will spend time in between work to promote the firmware iteration of already launched products. If you have requirements to implement them, please leave a message here, and I will prioritize and implement it based on the feedback statistics.
The message released this time is as follows:

  1. G350: We are developing it to support ONVIF, and the next firmware will see this update
  2. G400: Support local facial recognition function, which enables faster response speed for automation. This requirement involves changes to firmware, AI models, and app interactions, and is expected to be completed around the end of November.
  3. G410: After ringing the bell, the app will pop up a video call, which we will support in the next app version.

Anything about the G3h? I know many of us use it as a camera and a hub too so it’d be great if it gets at least rtsp(right now it’s dynamic) and for example go2rtc must be used to integrate it with Frigate.

Thanks @Aqara_PM_Donie

ONVIF is great. :pray:t4::confetti_ball:

Looking forward to the G400 update

Are there any plans on fixing onvif support on G5? The problem with Reolink NVR is still there

Thank you @Aqara_PM_Donie
I’m excited and looking forward to the item #3 G410 update.
Cheers! :+1:

For those of us running Frigate alongside Reolink PoE cameras: will the upcoming ONVIF support also include a fixed RTSP URL with a substream for detection, so the go2rtc workaround is no longer needed?

@Aqara_PM_Donie, no plans for G100 and G3 Camera Hub? New features or Matter video streaming compatibility?

That is EXCELLENT news  hope the G350 ONVIF profile will support PTZ.

For the G410 hopefully this will also improve the response time and quality audio. :pray:t2::heart:

Keep up the great work. Can’t wait to see how the new solarpanel camera will hold up and also will that have ONVIF? Anyone know?

G410 Ringtone functionally is broken. When uploading custom audio to play on the doorbell (not the indoor chime) it doesn’t work and only the standard ringtone plays on the actual doorbell.

G100 can’t handle running in Aqara / apple home at the same time (underpowered hardware) Is there a plan to address this or improve if running in apple home?

Good news for the G410 :tada:. I’ve been waiting for this.

Another FR for the G410:

If I set the Aqara Security System to any new state (for example: from home to night), it makes the “:loud_sound::loud_sound:” (the security system armed sound) not just once. Instead the first “:loud_sound::loud_sound:” comes 3 seconds delayed (which is not a problem), but after a few seconds it makes the “:loud_sound::loud_sound:” two or three more times, which is really annoying sometimes. Especially in the evening. Please fix that.

As far as I know, ReoLink’s NVR does not support third-party camera access. You can submit this issue to ReoLink’s official customer service for confirmation, or if any other brand of camera has successfully connected to ReoLink’s NVR, you can provide me with the brand and NVR model for verification. The G5 Pro integrates the standard Onvif protocol and does not restrict access to any other NVR that supports the standard Onvif protocol.

Thank you @Aqara_PM_Donie for sharing the roadmap! Sounds promising!

Could we get two way audio for g410 added to the roadmap? Home assistant have announced this is will possible with version 2026.11
