need to monitor if our adolescent kids are using the indoor swimming pool which is in the basement,
don’t want to use a camera so as to respect their privacy,
need to know they are there even if snoozing on the loungers,
make sure the lights are turned off when no one is there.
The FP2 as a presence sensor solves all of this and shows us if there are multiple people in the pool area.
We then don’t have to shout around the house to find the kids and we know to knock before entering if there are several people there. And the lights don’t get left on all day and night!
Hello, theoretically with this sensor you can implement the given tasks (setting control zones). Practically I can’t say how the sensor will behave, because of the water surface which is dynamic (water waves). This needs to be experimented, tried.
There are no problems with light (about control).
Thanks. I should have said that I already implemented this setup and it works really well and solves all of the problems. This forum is about sharing Automation Inspirations - hope this one helps.
